The last section of the book
Start Now
You don’t need more time. You don’t need more information. You already have what you need. What happens next comes down to one decision: are you going to act, or are you going to drift?
How this works
Read the book first.
Then start here.
Most people won’t act. They’ll close the book, feel motivated for a few days, and then slowly fall back into the same patterns — not because they don’t care, but because they never commit. Don’t let that be you.
This page is the working version of the book’s final section. Three steps: lock in your identity, choose one area, name your Now What Moment, and run it through the Now What Method. Every area below has a free worksheet, whether you own the book or not.
Step one
Start here: revisit your Identity Standard
Start by locking in your identity. Without it, you will drift back into reacting instead of leading.
Read it again
If you haven’t written your Identity Standard, go back to Chapter 3 and build it. Don’t skip it — it becomes the filter for every decision you make moving forward.
If you’ve already written it, read it again. You have now finished the book, and you may understand yourself and your future more clearly than when you first wrote it.
If greater clarity has changed what you believe your Identity Standard should say, refine it. Do not rewrite it simply because you had a difficult week or fell short. It is not meant to change daily — it is meant to anchor you daily.
Haven’t written it yet? Open the Identity Standard Builder and do it before you go any further.
Choose ONE area
Next, choose one area of your life that matters right now. Not every area. One.
Pick the area that would change the trajectory of your life the most. You do not need to work through them in order, and there is no perfect place to start — but there is power in choosing one and committing to it.
Put your decision through the Now What Method
You may already be facing several Now What Moments at once. That can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to work through all of them at the same time. Choose the one that deserves your attention first, run it through Seek, Study, Shape, and Strive, and then move to the next. You already know how this works. Now prove that you’ll use it.
Verify what you can actually confirm. Discern what holds up under pressure and real exposure. Identity — measure what’s left against your Identity Standard. Prayer — bring it to God and move forward with the best understanding you have.
Take the first step today
Not when life settles down. Not when you feel more confident. Not when the path feels easier. Today.
You’ve already proven you can live with discipline. You’ve already committed to something bigger than yourself. Now it’s time to lead your own life with that same intention.
Step two, in full
The six areas
Each one has a free worksheet. Start with the one you chose above — and if you need the principles behind it, the chapter is named on each card.
Define the relationship you want with Jesus Christ
Refine the habits that bring you closer to Him, build a Spiritual Rhythm that fits your real life, and show up with daily intention.
Do this today: identify one spiritual habit that isn’t helping you feel closer to Christ. Replace it with one simple action you’ll practice every day this week.
Start designing your career on purpose
Your career is not your identity. It is a strategy for supporting the life, family, service, freedom, and contribution you want to build.
Do this today: write one paragraph naming your strengths, what energizes you, and the life you want your career to support. Then text three people who know you well and ask what careers they think you could thrive in.
Run your own numbers and build your plan
Your goal is not just to make money. It is to build freedom, stability, and stewardship. You do not need to be a math expert — you need to make your future visible.
Do this today: write down what you’d want to live on each year during your Freedom Years and your Legacy Years, then run those two numbers.
Start preparing for your future spouse
Don’t just hope you marry well. Prepare on purpose to recognize and build a joyful, Christ-centered marriage.
Do this today: write down three to five couples whose marriages you respect and what you specifically admire about each. Then circle two you’ll ask to meet with.
Build your inner circle on purpose
Your friendships will quietly shape your identity, expectations, confidence, spiritual strength, and future. Great friendships do not just happen.
Do this today: write down the five people who genuinely get your hours. Choose one name and take that relationship through the six Friend Audit questions honestly.
Build the health foundation your future depends on
Your body and mind determine how much of the life you are building you can actually carry.
Do this today: choose one small physical habit and one small mental habit to begin this week. Put both on your calendar right now.
When you came home, no one handed you a playbook. Now you know how to write your own. But a playbook you never run is just paper — so run it.
