Chapters &
worksheets

Every worksheet here is free — no signup, nothing to buy. They're most useful once you've read the chapter, but they're yours either way. The book's closing section, Start Now, is the front door to the six that matter most.

How to use these

Read first. Then work.

  1. Read the book cover to cover without stopping to work the exercises. The framework only makes sense when you see how it works across every area of your life.
  2. One exception — Chapter 3. When you reach "Write Your Identity Standard" at the end of the chapter, stop and do it. It becomes the filter for everything else.
  3. Then come back here. Start with the area that would change your trajectory the most. Not every area. One.
CHAPTER01

Welcome Home

For two years you had a coach, a companion, and a playbook. Then you came home to a celebration — and a few months later, the momentum was gone. This chapter names the thing you've been feeling and couldn't quite articulate.

What you'll produceNothing yet. Just recognition.

CHAPTER02

The Four Steps to Building a Meaningful Life

Discover, Refine, Build, Strive. The process you'll run on every major decision in the rest of the book — and every season of life after it. Includes the natural tendency each of us has toward one or two steps, and the blind spot that comes with it.

What you'll produceYour natural tendency — Dreamer, Analyzer, Architect, or Executor — and the step you’ll be tempted to skip.

CHAPTER03

Defining Your Eternal Identity

Your premortal self, your present self, and your 80-year-old self — three lenses on the same man. This is the one chapter the book tells you not to postpone, because everything downstream gets filtered through what you write here.

What you'll produceYour written Identity Standard — 5 to 10 commitments you're willing to be held to.

CHAPTER04

What Kind of Relationship Do You Want with Jesus Christ?

You can't recreate mission-level worship inside adult life, and trying to is why many returned missionaries quietly burn out. This chapter helps you build a spiritual rhythm that fits the life you actually have — and tells the difference between culture and Christ.

What you'll produceYour Spiritual Rhythm, plus one habit you'll swap out this week.

CHAPTER05

Choosing a Career with Purpose

A job that excites you at 22 may exhaust you at 45. Your career should buy back your time, not slowly push you into a corner. Includes why passion follows mastery rather than preceding it, and Ethan's story about walking away from a path he'd already invested years in.

What you'll produceYour career narrative, and three informational interviews scheduled.

CHAPTER06

My Entrepreneurial Journey

From mowing more than a hundred lawns a week with a $300 truck named Rusty, to building a technology company that reached a billion-dollar valuation. Not a template — a demonstration of the Four Steps under real pressure, including the wrong turns.

What you'll produceNothing. Read it for the pattern, not the plan.

CHAPTER07

Plan for Your Money

Mark became a doctor and earned more than almost everyone he knew. Eric earned less and retired ten years earlier. Your income matters far less than your plan. Working years, freedom years, legacy years — and the math that connects them.

What you'll produceYour own numbers, a one-page budget, and two accounts opened.

CHAPTER08

Choosing Your Eternal Companion

You are not just looking for a spouse. You are becoming the kind of husband a Christ-centered woman would want to build a life with. Includes the three conversations most couples avoid until it's too late — finances, parenting, and intimacy.

What you'll produceYour must-haves, deal-breakers, and nice-to-haves, plus a couples-I-admire list.

CHAPTER09

Surround Yourself with Great Friends

You don't wake up one day and decide to become like your friends. It happens gradually — their standards start feeling normal, their priorities become yours. Friends beside you, friends ahead of you, friends behind you. You need all three.

What you'll produceA completed Friend Audit, a seat for every name, your aspire list, and one message sent to someone ahead of you.

CHAPTER10

Physical and Mental Health

When you don't feel good physically or mentally, everything else gets heavier to carry. Your body and mind determine how much of the life you're building you can actually hold. Includes when a free mentor is enough and when you should pay one.

What you'll produceOne physical habit, one mental habit, and one thing on your calendar.

CHAPTER11

Protect What You've Built

Most people don't ruin their lives with one catastrophic decision. They drift — from gratitude to entitlement, from discipline to comfort, from humility to pride. Character doesn't collapse overnight; it erodes through small permissions.

What you'll produceYour daily protection questions and the guardrails that hold them.

CHAPTER12

Living a Meaningful Life — On Purpose

The framework doesn't get used once and outgrown. You'll return to it at every season — parenthood, career shifts, leadership, retirement. Also: these are the good old days, and you're living in them right now.

What you'll produceYour identity check, one area chosen, and the first step on your calendar.

Build note

Nine worksheets still to build

Chapter 9 is live as the template — it shows the pattern every other chapter page will follow. Once Ben signs off on that pattern, the remaining nine get built to match. Chapters 1 and 6 are story chapters with no call to action, so they won't have worksheets.
